The Largest Bulldozer - Komatsu D575A-3SD
The biggest dozer in the series is the "Superdozer" called the D-575A-3. The Komatsu superdozer is powered by a turbo-loaded, drawer-air-cooled 12 cylinder diesel with the code name SA12V170E. This motor which develops a performance range of 1150 HP has the capacity equal to the tank-content of a medium-range car with 1800 r.p.m.
The awesome performance of this mighty engine and tremendous motor-torque allow this superdozer enormous feats of pushing strength of over 485,000 lb.. The colossal blade, which is carried majestically by the D-575A-3, has a capacity of unbeatable 90 yd^3 which allows it to push 348,000 lb of overburden effortlessly.

Was granted a tour of PEORIA plant about 10 yrs ago,,. One of techs had a large pix of a service truck smashed to smitherns down one side ,,seems that the tech misjudged where his truck and the excavator parets would clear ,,..operator never knew he backed over truck til hesawthe tech guy waving his arms and hollering ...,,, CAT ,,, realized 50 yrs ago , that more small machines was a problem as opposed to a few large machines ,,, from the mining andexcavator folx it meant fewer men and engines to maintain , and to watch over to keep from smashing into one another ,, 10 little machines will burn more fuel and require a helluva lot of management skills , and maintenance than all that can be accomplished by one machine and operator , and a foreman .... Lot of operator jobs no longer needed ,,, but the demand for good operators is still strong

Started making mining equipment early 1900s.It is a Japanese company . In 1961 it had a short joint venture with Bucyrus-Erie and also with International Harvester.Later established Komatsu America and Komatsu Mexico. But yes the money goes to Japan.

I ran a 475, it was a horse. It would outpush the D11s we had at the time but where not as good on slopes/ reclaiming.

Okay, I understand people don't know what they are talking about, but this is just unrecognizeable.
What does this mean??
This motor which develops a performance range of 1150 HP has the capacity equal to the tank-content of a medium-range car with 1800 r.p.m.

I was gonna ask the same thing but figured I must be missing
something in that statement that DID make sense.
