What water tight fitting?????

I want to drill a 1 inch hole in the bottom of a plastic drain pan and hook it to a 1 inch pvc pipe.
I would like the pan to drain as close to completely dry as I can get.

What water tight fitting should I use?
A picture or link to said fitting would be very helpful.

While it should not make a difference this is for a central air A coil.

Thanks

I agree. It needs to be chosen for lack of overflow (holes just under the lip flange) or a collar needs to be used to blank the overflow holes. Great idea, and probably less "thick" at the basen than any other solution. Fittings and pipe are common and reasonable as well. Jim

I THINK a water-heater drain pan [steel or plastic] ought to have a ready-made drain hole, that you could attach right to. Might not be big enough tho...
