OT - Anyone from Hamilton County, Indiana?

You're probably a lot younger than I am. Grew up on what is now 131st Street between Howe Road and Promise Road. Our house was exactly where Fishers fire station No. 95 is located.

Well I guess I am just a little younger than you. I was born in 1955. NHS class of 73

That area of 131st as well as all of Hamilton county has sure changed a lot over the years.

I lived just south of Hamilton County in Marion County. NCHS grad of 1970. I worked at Terry Airport, which is now Indianapolis Executive Airport, 1968-1970.
 
Is that the airport just south of the county line, on the east side of Ind. 37 highway? Just remember that I'm old enough to know when current 37 was not there yet. Yes, I do know that it's now called Allisonville Road.

We used to do a little drag racing on part of "new" 37, just north of Hwy. 32. It was pretty well finished, but not open yet...this was in 1957.

No, Terry airport is west of westfield on hwy 32

The airport on allisonville rd was called Gatewoods airport.

You're absolutely right! I remember the Gatewoods, but had forgotten their connection with that little airport. I do know where Terry airport is....just over the county line in Boone County, isn't it?. My wife is from Crawfordsville, so we've traveled 32 between Noblesville and there many, many times.

I'm not familiar with any Reily Brothers Equipment. Back in my day, there was a Sheetz Implement in Westfield...they sold Oliver and Massey Harris.
