What size rear rim do I need for rear tires 11.2 x 28

Pretty sure that would take a 10x28 rim.

Rule of thumb for rims is the rim is one number narrower then the tire so if you have a 11.2 tire you need a 10 inch rim. Or is you have a 12.4 tire you need a 11 inch rim but if you have a 10 inch wide rim you can go with the wider tire like the 12.4 and still be fine

I run 10" wide rims on 12.4 tires with my 640. I wouldn't run 11" rims with 12.4 tires.

11.2 tires are the standard size for an 8N and one size undersized for your 6xx.

The 8N used 9" rims with the standard 11.2 tires.

Originally, your 6xx probably had 10" rims and 12.4 tires.
