Was wondering how many on this board are from Florida? I'm located in the central part of the state in Polk county just south of Lakeland. Part time residents included.

West Melbourne. Been in Florida for 36 years. Spent last week at Lakeland at Sun 'n Fun. Been going there since 1997...not particularly interested in the planes, but get my once-a-year 'fix' driving tractors pulling the trams around.

This year was the first year in over 20 years that I didn't make it to Sun and Fun at least one day. Was down with the flu. My brother and I spent a lot of years there working with the Boys and Girls club of Lakeland when they handled the food concessions It,s not what was back 10 years ago a lot of mismanagement it seems

I spend the winters at Lake Bonnett Village RV Park located between Avon Park and Sebring on SR 17. I attend all week at BOTH the January and February Flywheelers at Fort Meade Florida. I get mad when I have to go to Lakeland TOO MUCH TRAFFIC, I prefer Bartow and Dade City when Im up that way.

Yes, things have changed, especially under the new head honcho, in the last year.

You may remember that the trams had several different routes....Red, Green, Yellow, Brown I and Brown II. This year we had an East route (7 or 8 trams) and a West route (5 trams). Unfortunately, we (the tram drivers and conductors) seemed to get bunched up, leaving a long wait for some folks.

I've been doing this since 1997 and must be getting old and crotchety, I guess.

I was over your way yesterday. Some friends and I were going fishing out of Port Canaveral but weather was too bad with 8 ft waves in the Gulf stream. Came back thru Kennesville to stop and check on a friends place at Lake Marion. I hunt every season on a lease just south of 192 on 441.I'll have to look you up sometime when I'm back over that way

Have friends who live there he does lots of fishing on that lake neat small place. We have been there often make OJ from the trees there just cant beat fresh OJ off the tree as he knows which trees have the best type for juice.

Tim, I'm originally from Bradford Co, but my brother lives down in Lake Placid. I usually make it down there once a year. Will have to look you up for a visit.
Have all is well,
