the ones ford will not work, shaft size is smaller and 10 spline this one is one inch shaft and 6 spline

Don't know where to get one already made, but it shouldn't be that hard for a good machine shop to machine a new one and broach the splines into in it. I'll have to get their number again but there is a place close to Gastonia, NC that can spline just about anything. If you need them let me know and I'll get the number again for you.

Another option might be to press the inserts out to avoid heat damage, cut out the old splined section and weld in a new one, then press the inserts back in.

It"s been awhile since I had a 440 but Wenger"s 800-552-5080 in Pa had a lot of used 440 parts and an excellent computer inventory system. I never needed that coupler but they sold me a lot of carb parts. The description they gave always matched the part I got.

G & G mfg,(go to: ggmfg.com) sells keyed and
splined inserts for pulleys and sprokets.
Scroll around on their web site, and find your
size, have your coupling bored, at a machine shop
and your new insert pressed in, and welded.
