O/T Late frost predictions

Marilyn and I were just talking about how much later the trees are budding this spring compared to last spring. Last spring we were much above normal temps but then we lost everything, even the rhubarb to a hard late freeze, not frost, freeze. I told her we are safe from a late frost this spring. So I explained it to her in my narrow minded terms.

Here's my prediction concerning late frost for this year. NO LATE FROST. My reasoning is we are colder than normal now and the prediction for the rest of the week is below normal temps. If we have a cold spring we seem to warm up gradually and there is no late frost. The buds come out later too.
If we have above normal temps in the early spring the buds come out early and plants are blooming and then bam, we have two nights of killing frost in mid-late may. Seems like if it warms up too fast in the early spring mother nature evens it out in a big way later on.

That's my prediction and the reason for it. What's yours? Jim

I predict there is no chance of late frost, until we actually warm
up enough to worry about anything at all greening up.

I'd just be happy with the snow melting down some.

I agree. We may have a 90 day window of summer this year. The crops are going to suffer, but the GOV will say we had a bumper crop anyways.
