All the neat old barn pictures got me all worked up lol so I Bing Image searched for the Mother Load. The Cantilever style and the ones on a hill where the hay wagon could drive in and out appealed to me the most. Keepin all the crap out must been a jobbbbbbb.

Ya gotta watch the old movie starring Edward G Robinson and a young Natalie Wood called "Our Vines have tender Grapes" for a real neat old barn scene wowwwwwwwww

Id say some old craftsmen barn builders and/or the Amish could duplicate them today, probably in the order of a Hundred Thousand or Two or Three???

Speakin of old barns, when I was a lad each time my Great Uncle had me in the car and passed by a round barn he proclaimed a man had ran him self to death in that barn, he was lookin for a corner to ___hit in lol he never got tired of tellin me that

The Mother Load of Old Barns

John T.,

Going to spend some free time looking there for sure. I love the one where it shows the absolute skeletal remains of the side wall and roof.

Did you click on the righthand side...Old Barns Falling Down? Also really neat.

Havent tried that yet, heck I aint had time to look at all I found lol

Ya gotta watch that old Black n White movie I tell ya. When the barn burns down it will bring a tear to a glass eye

the barn in 3rd row far left makes me think of the barn on my grandpa gordon's farm near thompson il.
there were 3 doors on west end.
the milk man liked pulling up to the one in middle as it was same height as box of milk truck so he could carry the cans out of barn into truck, no throwing cans into truck at gordons.
grandpa passed away in july of 1966 the farm was sold that same october.

That darn pop up "related items" blocks out the right third of the page and won't go away for me. There's some neat photography in what I saw!

If you like old barns, you may want to do a search for Wisconsin old barn preservation. It's a program put on by the University of Wisconsin-Extension. It leads to a lot of old barn pictures.

When Im in Florida or on the road in the motorhome Im not on here quite as much now Im back home again in Indiana woooo hooooooo
