Looks really neat by your deck.

I wonder what the field looks like after plowing, since it throws dirt both directions. Seems like it would come out looking like potato hilled rows with low spots in between.
 
I've got two of those,a Chatanooga steel beam and a Syracuse wood beam. They don't roll both directions at the same time. There's a latch on the back. You kick that.lift it up and the whole bottom drops and rolls right over so that what was the point becomes the shin and vice versa. You go one way across the field plowing to the right,roll the bottom over and come back rolling to the left.

They're called both hillsides or 2 ways up here. They don't do a real good job of plowing, but it's a lot better than a spade. They tended to be used in small plots on hillsides most of us would never consider plowing. I have one made in Washington Co NY, I forget the maker. I've never used it as it lacks the wood and latching mechanism. Friend up here has an Oliver hillside she wants to try with her oxen.
