MF 135 starts and quits

So I"ve got a 135 Gas w/z145 Continental.
I was on vacation recently and finally finished making the pieces of the wiring harness that are obsolete and I can"t find put it together and go for a test drive in the field. On the way back tractor acts like I have no gas, I go and get some. While was driving had a misfire...I"ve read that the plug wires installed 180o incorrectly will cause this, change plug wires and the tractor starts strong and powerful.

Head back towards the barn and try to shift to the high range where it normally cuts out for some reason. Go to start tractor again, starts then it dies within 30 seconds. Figure might be the points/condenser. Replace those and gap to .022”

Tractor will start and cut out. Checked fuel flow, gas is flowing out the carburetor. I have a nice white spark when the points open up. I guess what am I doing wrong?

Hi Christos, I think it is a gas problem. It will
flow but for how long. Either it is constricted
in the fuel tank by the outlet,or the shut off is
clogged, or the carb needs to be soaked with a
solution that will remove "plaque" The gas builds
and flows but will then quit flowing. Unless it
has the little solenoid with one wire, that can be
defective. If so you can replace with a manual one

Chuck, I still have the TSX carburetor in mine. I still can't account for why it won't stay running in the higher gear ranges. The carburetor has leaked from the bowl gasket lately but not tonight. I'll have to drain the fuel out this week and check the sediment bowl assembly.
