Still Pushing Snow

Spent a few hours of tractor time March 31 pushing the winter's snow accumulation out of the yard. Or at least to a low spot where it can melt without turning the driving area to mud. It has been a cold late spring here. Not quite hitting the thawing point daytime and down near 0F some nights. When it finally warms up we are going to have some water here as all that record snowfall melts.
If you look really close in the photo you can see the very tops of the transport cylinders of my cultivator sticking through the snow.

It won't go away here either. We started out with rain this morning. Temp is at 33F now and getting colder with cold raw NW wind. Been getting snow squalls all afternoon, and tomarrow is suppose to be worse. It's not suppose to get to the freezing point tomarrow and more squalls. Took the first pic. about 3:30 today, and the second yesterday up in the back forty. Did have some Robins show up Friday though.

Had our first thunder storm of the spring this afternoon when the cold front pushed through.Snow is all gone and I am starting the yard cleanup.Raking the loose stones off the lawn that the snowplow deposits and to make it worse we had to move the snow banks back after a couple of 20+ snowfalls.

That's a lot of snow to get moved. We had our biggest snow in two winters, when do you ask? January or February? No, last week. Wow.

Spent most of the afternoon on the backhoe pushing snow over the edge's of the driveway and such so that when it finally starts melting the driveway will dry up quicker. Winter just won't quit.
