Looks like the whole danged neighborhood's on fire. We saw the firetruck go south on Brown just a few minutes ago.Pulled in to the neighbor's just to the south. We went to see what was going on and saw smoke off to the northwest up on Holland Road. Grass fire in a swamp right here next door,now they just got a call to head up to the one on Holland. Trucks just went screaming by.

Just before I came in for supper there was smoke to the south on Holland. They must have gotten that one out without any help. Too many folks trying to clean up today. Cleaning up a little too well it looks like.

Thought it was a little early for grass fires. Maybenot... Ground is still pretty wet around here. Little breezy as well. Not a good time to be burning the leaves!

My nephew tried to drive his 2 wheel drive pickup around behind my barn
yesterday afternoon. Sunk in the mud and had to pull him out.
Pulled a gravity box with about 1000 lbs of feed left in it for the cattle around
there today with a Ford 9N, drove right over his tracks and barely sunk at all.
Seems a little sun and some wind dries things out FAST!

Been going down hill fast around here. I started cleaning barns Wednesday,snow was mostly off but the ground was froze. I had to quit earlier every day because it was getting too sloppy on top. This morning I barely made it back from the first load. Had a crust on top,then mud with frost under that.
