Things are tough all over - local bank robbed!

Hadn't heard that yet. They never did catch the one that robbed the Sheridan branch. That must have been going on ten years ago now. They were trying to get everybody off the street right after that one happened and my mother came out of the Post Office right next door and wanted to stop and talk to the folks that were trying to push her back inside. Took a few minutes to get it through her head what was going on.

Guess I'd better load up on those .22s that we have left tonight.

Mine might be safe where it is. I don't think anybody could find Sidney with a GPS and a map. lol

Common thing near here, as soon as I hear the rotor wash of a Bell UH1, theres a good chance its NYSP, and or a bank robbery nearby, now since 2009, its happened at least 4 times, I think 5 since yesterday. Darned thing always flies right over my house, not as bad as the incident last fall whereas there was an escape from custody, that was covered up by an alleged gasoline theft from the local convenience store, just loved that one, some fool potentially in the woods and another helicopter different model, just buzzing the treetops for 2 hours. 2 robberies in a few days, same suspect they think.

I just hate when they send air support up, because you never know what the heck is going on, the one last fall was interesting, spring of '09, was following the grain drill and cultipacking, bank was robbed, that UH1 hovered directly over me, I poked my head out from under the JD3150 and looked up at them. Its hard to figure whats up, is there a bad guy on the ground, were they checking on me to see if I was the guy or he had me held up or something, never a dull moment anymore, years back bank robberies were relatively unheard of around here, I know as I lived next to NYSP barracks, we used to know what was going on, not any more.

Sounds like what happened a few years ago to me. Dammed doper neighbors were growing pot on my land down in the edge of a swamp mostly surrounded by trees. I was right there in the field next to it loading round bales when the helicopter started hovering over it. Of all the times for it to happen, the ram broke off in the bucket cylinder on the loader right then. I loaded up and left just about the time the ground troops showed up. Had to order a new cylinder,so it was four or five days before I went back to finish the job. I'm sure that didn't look suspicious at all.

The wife says it going around on Facebook right now that it looks like somebody they've seen hanging around the local playground at the elementary school. This might have been the best thing he could have done if they have a real legitimate reason to get him off the street.
Looks like he might have done the world a favor.

If so that would have been 4 plus years ago since that was before my son went in the navy and that was like 5 years ago. Plus I can not travel that far with out risking being put in a wheel chair

I don't know what it is about this particular UH1, sure gets a lot of air time, I think it was summer of '10 few years ago, behind our barns and down the power lines aways, in an area thats got plenty of marsh land, wooded and heavily vegetated land, some one must have had a crop, they circled with the side door open, left and came back, landed the next day to retrieve the plants. Thats literally cut and dry, but that darned thing rattling the dishes over our houses, and not telling us what the heck is going on, now we just expect it automatically, bank robbery LOL !

Depending on which Sidney you are talking about, I know right where it is. Of course the little money I have is there too, so no need for "withdrawals" from there.

Well I was round here 3 or 4 years for your son went into the Navy, Could also have benn a pictrue of Fawteen on a Yam-a-haw.

We're just a mile from the hospital right in the flight path of AeroMed coming and going. I don't know what there is about it,but I guess I'm like Radar O'Reilly. I can sense that thing coming before anybody else can hear it. There's just some hum in the air before you can hear the thumping.

Great pics. They post pictures of bank heist suspects around here and they are so grainy and poor it could be anybody. They had one in the local paper the other day and all you could see was some fool in a hooded sweatshirt, and you couldn't see any facial features. But, 'call us if you've seen this guy'.....

A friend of mine had his college roommate killed. Shot in the back of the head, from someone who robbed an armored car...

I never met the guy, but, I heard much about him.

If you want to rob a bunch of people, and get away with it, it's better just to be a politician. It's the only legal form of robbery around.

Great quality photo. Hope they nab him, just like they got those cattle rustlers that were recently posted about.

(quoted from post at 20:08:13 03/30/13) This is Sidney Michigan. You'd need a bloodhound in addition to that GPS and a good map.
Or be a local. I spent a year at the community college just down the road.
Of course if you were a local, someone would know who you were!
