I have a stock Farmall H that I want to lighten up a class. I need to drop about 350 to 400 lbs. I was thinking the easy way is to switch from cast centers on rear to preesed steel, but not sure what all I need. I see Oliver steel rims for sale but not sure if they will work & not sure how much lighter they are over cast. Thanks for any help.

You will lose about 300 lbs per side by going to 9 bolts. Lose the belly pump and belt pulley assembly and lose about 150 lbs. Get press wheels and light weight front hubs for about 50 lbs .

The cast centers weigh about 200# each. The PTO is probably 30 or 40 pounds and can be pulled out and replaced with a flat plate to cover the hole.
