Good pictures!
I put up 4 bluebird boxes a number of years ago in my 5 acre pasture. Never got any bluebirds, but the sparrows took them over in no time.

I really enjoy our blue birds. They nest in the pipe that goes over the corral gate. Don"t know how they survive the heat.

Maybe when I retire, I"ll put some boxes up.

Love the pictures!

It looks like they"re wondering how the renters could have trashed the place so badly while they were gone.

Larry - you can cut a round hole, 3" or so, in the top of the box and sparrows will leave it alone, but the bluebirds will still use it. A piece of screenwire over it to keep the cats out. Try it on one and see if it works. The very first bluebirds I ever noticed here were nesting in a fencepost with a hollow rotted out top.

Those are neat pictures. They"d sure like to move in there.

I just added a new blue bird house and I noticed the martins for the first time last night.

We had a blue ornate glass duck sitting in our bathroom window that one of our blue birds is convinced is a threat. We finally took it down since every morning at day break for the last few weeks we'd hear him beating on the window trying to get to that duck.

Gotta love those birds...except when they sit on the tree limb right over your windshield.

Every morning a female cardinal comes to do battle with the cardinal she sees in the left front wheel hubcap on my truck.
She"s been doing that for the past 3 years.

The two birds pictured are thinking how they are going to build a verticle nest inside. They want it to be right for when the home gets uprighted.
