Hot dang! The Steeldrivers!

They're gonna be in Mt Pleasant Mi at CMU for Our Front Porch radio show April 27th. Gonna call first thing tomorrow and get tickets! Fantastic bluegrass band!
 
We hear them on WSM on line. Got to give them credit for coming up with names you don't hear elsewhere. Rhonda Vincent, Chambers and Nicholson, Daniel Romano come to mind. Many more I can't recall.
 
Ya,I wish Rhonda Vincent would play closer to home. She was here in Michigan last summer,but we had other things going on that weekend and couldn't make it to see her. We went all the way to Lexington Ky to see Alison Krauss and Union Station one time. We've seen the Steel Drivers three times. They were here for Our Front Porch about four years ago. Then we saw them in two shows the same day at the Wheatland Music Festival a year or so later. Can't wait to see'em again. They put on a SUPER show.
 
Randy, Noticed in your post you mentioned Wheatland.Just wondered if you still went to the weekend event. I work at the Nut Hut concession stand saturday and sunday mornings and camp right behind that area. The wifes family has gone for years. They are known around for having the yellow smiling face pins and in the last few yrs the redneck pharmacy wagon. I think the warden is looking to get us tickets as well.
 
We only went the year the Steeldrivers were there. Made the mistake of only buying a Sunday ticket. Won't do that again. I'll buy the weekend ticket even if we only go on Saturday. The darned thing falls right about the time I'm filling silo and seems like more times than not the weather sucks that weekend.

Are you going to CMU to see the Steeldrivers?
