Plows are a tool of the past it seems.

The 4 bottom I'm getting ready to sand blast and primer for a friend of ours.

The 1 bottom I found at home 30 yrs ago. I was used by my grandfather and set along the old fence row one day and never used again.

JD Model 44 I think. It now has better tires (radials, should take 2 hp less
to pull). It has the hose support and even a "Knee Knocker". The only thing
missing is a coulter scraper. It is now greased and ready to go. Spring
will get here when??? Bob.

The Case SR 5-14 I saved from the scrapper at one of my fuel customers. Been trying to see if I can find anywhere to get new sodbuster slats to make it new again. Not having much luck yet, any help would be appreciated. Scott

Wow, that truck is in great shape! Is it a 89 or so? My friend has the same truck, but it's rusted to heck. Darn NY state and there road salt.

That truck is a 92 I bought new, now it has 222000 miles on it. It uses 1/2qt of oil between 3000 mile oil changes. The engine has never been apart and has the original trans never rebiult. It has to be the cheepest truck I'll ever own. Thanks, Jim

(quoted from post at 21:23:34 03/22/13) Does anyone have pictures of the plows by Chesaning Mi.?
Teddy, I don't have any pictures personally, but I think these are the ones
you're talking about. Too Many?

I have a walk behind identical to the first picture. Never knew what brand. Is it a John Deere or was this just dressed up to look like it?

I don't have any of our Oliver 3-16 565, but I do of our 4-16 546 in action.

I have a dearbourne 10-1 I think it is, a 2 bottom plow, I can't post a pic because my Pos Dell pucker locked up, thank god for my iPhone! Lol,,, Another good feature could be woodsplitters, or hay balers, both are very important, heat and feed for the livestock! Just a though.

Plowing with our 1941 Farmall A w/exhaust lift back around 1978 or 1979. we still have the tractor and plow.

I had a 4 bottom like that with the steel depth wheel. I sold it but now which I had kept it.

Ya,they were a hillside plow. Used'em in the small odd shaped hillside fields in the south primarily. You could plow straight back and forth across a hillside, kick the latch, roll it over and plow back the other direction without having to walk headlands or plow up and down the hill.

I've got a Syracuse two way too with a wooden beam.

Not sure how the text will come out, going to try and post from both the PC and from the the PB site here goes:

Ferguson AO, 2-14's, - not really adjusted right, worn, level box still seized and or what else, got it to work, but not the ideal situation.

JD 7420 and IH 5 bottom, at my place, does well in corn trash and sure does a nice job.

The rest above or below, (not sure where the photos will land direct from the PC) should be my 101 2-16 and 110 1-16 Ford plows, sitting idle, 101 has all new wear parts except mold boards, and the 110 will need a share and s shin, landside looks fine, also has a heel on the longer type landside.

if you bother to look at the pic close you will see I had the rear wheels up on plowed ground to finish up on the bottom side of my garden so that I did not have a extra deep furrow at the end of field to deal with when I was in the furrow plowing as deep as I was the plow was running level but thanks for pointing it out as I must not know how to set a plow at all
