Hawaii Way Way OT

Anybody on this talk board from Hawaii. I'm looking for a 4 month rental or lease of a one bedroom apartment, house, condo. Preferabaly furnished & preferabaly on the big island. But I will consider other islands. Or has anyone on here ever stayed or lived over there for a extended period of time. Any help, opinions or leads would be appreciated. Thanks Gerald

I've never been there but I have read recently that it is like LA or any other densely populated area. More fast food per capita than any other state, and major traffic jams.

Do not live there but have made many trips and know several folks over there. Have met several that went over there to RETIRE and ended up taking another job. Cost of living is just high however you live over there. Know a guy that works up at a large ranch there. I am checking on finding you a place to stay. They have several houses there on the ranch.

Making a generalization about Hawaii based on what you've heard about Honolulu (or Oahu) is as silly as judging any other state based on its largest city: California is not LA, Michigan is not Detroit, New York is not NYC, Colorado is not Denver and Hawaii (particularly the Big Island) is not Honolulu.
