my ford 335 tractor has a bucket loader and a gsnnon scraper.Loader wii lift full height and oil is full in rear end.It chatters and hesitates. So sometimes I have to move control valve to get it to lift, but it still chatters and will lift. Could it be the control valve or the hydrolic lift that operates the pump?

Sounds like your suction screen may be pluged causing the pump to cavitate. If It has been cold and you haven't changed the hydraulic oil for some time, it may have water in it that froze and cloging the intake screen on your pump.

Ditto on the HYDRAULIC oil comment. I'm seeing so much of the misnomer "hydrolics", I'm forgetting how to spell it correctly. Had an X friend that used to roll the O when he said the misnomer word. Yucko. Like when I was staitioned in England where everything with a Z wound up as an S.

Ok boo birds come a running as you always do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the reply! I have the tractor manual and cannot locate the picture of a pump like the one on the machine. It is in a solid case with no external filter or screen I can see. The engine pump in front of hydrolic pump has an easy to remove external filter. Any advice appreciated.

Well sir, that is part of my rant which I have been putting off for a very long time. If you see it incorrectly spelled, and as you said you are not a great speller, you may take on that the wrong spelling is THE spelling and just spread the germs.

I'm trying to right the boat for myself as well as others. Ok fine. You farmed all your life and had to quit school in the 4th grade to feed the family and all. You can still have access to the correct spelling and improve your vocabulary. I do it all the time. Some computers have it; mine does. It's called Spell Check and if you use it as a learning tool it is marvelous and improves your presentation to your viewers.

Correct spelling with correct punctuation, along with proper sentence structure, helps your readers to figure that you know what you are talking about and can be revered.

But I break paragraphs down into pieces because if you are trying to understand something from a post, it's a lot easier to follow 4-5 lines rather than 50 lines with no punctuation and capitalization and all the grammar tools. After the 3rd or 4th line, if you get that far, probably just look at the mess and move on, you give up and go elsewhere.

My remarks here are longer than 4-5 lines as I am not trying to help you fix something mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/fluid dynamics, etc.

don't worry sheepskin - you're doing fine.

We all misspell plenty of words, but - hydraulics just happens to be THE most commonly misspelled words on this site. It does start to stick out after you've been here a while.

It's kinda funny.

People don't really care too much, but I think your post just happened to be the straw to break the camels back for texasmark1.

keep the posts coming.
