Oliver 1800 or White 2-70

I will post this on the Oliver site as well. If you had your choice between these two tractors witch would you chose and why? The White is an early 70's. Lets assume tires are equal and engines are in equal mechanical shape. I know the Oliver is a litte older and a little more HP.
I know location has a lot to do with value but what would either of these be worth. I would guess tires would be about 70%. I know the white has always had a two row subsoiler planter unit hooked to the three point. It has never to my knowledge been ran hard. I do not know the history of the Oliver. From casual glances it lookes to be in good shape.

I know where one of each is sitting and I am considering approching the owners about selling.

Don't think you'll go wrong with either one, we used to have a 2-70 years ago with a loader and it was a gas good tractor, think the 1800 is good to, never owned one though.

The White 2-70 has had many improvements done. The Oliver 1800 is not a bad tractor but between the two the White 2-70 would be the better tractor.

The question to you is about value. A White 2-70 will bring about double what a Oliver 1800 would in the same condition.

A good White 2-70 would be in the $8000-10,000 range while the Oliver 1800 diesels would be more in the $4500-6500.

Which 1800,A,B or C series? There was a big difference from the first to the last.
Any way you look at it,I'd go with the 2-70. It's the last in the progression of the 1600,1650,1655 then 2-70. One of Oliver's best,no two ways about it.
