good buy at the sale in Kempton?

I didnt buy it,buttt,,,, I thought it was a good deal, a hart par oliver,it started and ran,6 cyld continetal engine 550 Dollars? It had a single wheel on the front

The single front would go for half that I would think. That was a great buy even with out the side curtains.
 
Its a good buy if you want a 70, but don't buy with the idea of spiffing it up and turning it. The 70 is kind of the red headed stepsister of the Oliver line, as far as demand is concerned- Most everybody wants the 77s and Supers, with more features and a better "usin'" tractor. The 70's are pretty good for parades, but there are a zillion of them around, and just not that much demand from collectors.
 
I looked for ya today but with the snow, everyone had hats on and hoods up! I got out of there before i did something foolish and overpaid for something. Most prices were rediculous!
 
Sorry I missed you, I spent a good part of the sale ,the neighbor wanted a few parts for his potato digger,I did get some for him,but missed some of the stuff getting sold.I did catch a few of the prices on tractors,I ll post some more later.
 
The early unstyled ones like that are a little more valuable. Not near as many of them made.
