Well we made it to 32F here with many passing snow squalls. The weather watchers are saying that this weather pattern will continue until Thursday next week. Although unusual, last year we were on the ground preparing for planting.

The wind must be blowing real hard there because in the last picture it looks like the barn and silos are even leaning. LOL. If your weather is like ours has been 50 one day and 10 the next

Ivan,
I don't know about the silos tipping, but in the first pic. you can see the twine on my pea trellis dangling at near 45 degree angle. Perhaps the wind tipped me when I took the pic. LOL

Yep,we're supposed to be waking up to one to three inches of snow in the morning.
I planted oats March 20 or 21 last year. May 5 the year before and March 31 the year before that. Looks like it's gonna be nearer the May 5th date this year.

Started snowing here really hard about 15 minutes ago! We have 31 right now! I don't like this up and down yo- yo weather. Lol, yes there saying crummy until Thursday! I like it cold and frozen. At least jims case 400 fires right up with very little time on the block heater, his son does use either on it thought,, lol. I don't know what the story with his 730 is, Jim had alot of problems with it, now he just splits wood with it!

60 degrees here in central Iowa today, but I know some more winter will return next week.spring is just around the corner, saw 2 robins in the yard yesterday.

It was 77 here in East Central Arkansas today. It is supposed to rain Sunday and Monday and turn cooler.

We got that about a week ago. Is 39 by me right now, which I will gladly take. Someone posted above about their new calves, said was 85 by them already. I don't want no part of that. Not this early. Not like last year. Last year was in the 80's already, taking its toll on the water table with the help of the irrigation wells because of the abnormal temps. Last year by me was a good year for well installers because a lot of folks lost their shallow wells. Right now things seem to be about normal, which is what I'm used to, expect, and hope for.

But since thats what you got, you got what you got, so go pull out the sleds and give them a good run up.

Went to pick up our taxes lat night about 4:30PM. Looked like we were driving into a thunderstorm- of snow. We get real heavy snow up here quite a lot of course, but I've rarely seen such heavy dark clouds. Put about 1" on the ground in 5 minutes. Problem was it was wet and the road was ice cold. So we had and inch of snow on black ice. Came to a Tee intersection and stepped on the brakes before I'd realized this. No way were were going to stop and traffic coming on both directions. I was only going about 30MPH to start with and began braking well back. Got it off to the side of the road at the stop sign and still slid around the corner. Only the 2nd time that's ever happened to me since 1976.

Yeah, it's still winter.

Yep, its been -14C here the last few days and snow every day, its all good tho because I have to get logs hauled in on the frost

Turns out that same storm I drove into was responsible for a big pile up just across the river. http://www.recorder.ca/2013/03/15/multiple-collisions-on-401

I want to say it was within a week of St. Patties day last year we had our oats & peas in. This year we've got snow on the way the day after St. Patties..... I'm sick of winter!

I still gotta get the 18 around and pull the radiator so we can have that fixed- it had a slight leak last fall while plowing. Not much, and it doesn't leak unless it's running, but still should fix it before we need it in a month or so...
