Chopping heads

I want to put a chopping head on my 7250 JD self propelled chopper. 6row. Looking at drago or geringhoff. Not sure if I have enough HP to run them. I run an old 643 JD head now no problem. Any body any ideas?

I would definately go with the Geringhoff. I have done a lot of research on them and they really seem to be top of the line. I also do not believe that they require a lot of horsepower and they do a very good job with handling residue. They are not cheap though as goes with everything these days.

Do you have a chopper?

No I do not. I am a high school student who works on a farm. I have talked to people though, and done research and Geringhoffs sound like the best.
