I am putting keeton seed firmers with liquid tubes on my jd 7000 planter. Thinking about using a 12V pump to pump 10-34-0 at 5gal/ac. Do I need orifices in the lines to regulate the flow or can I do it with the pressure regulator on the pump? Also what is the best way to sidedress corn, on top of ground or inject with a knife or disk?

You're far better off with a Blue pump that's geared to the planter drive. It's driven by ground speed rather than a non regulated motor.

I use an electric punp system. It will do up to 35-40 gal/acre(probably more?).I love it,would never go back to a pto pump.Use it for 'starter'(5gpa).Starter is Conklin 9-18-9,put directly in the seed furrow.I sidedress 32% N(30+ gpa). You will need an orfice on each row, each with a specific range. For sidedressing I simply duct tape the line to the cultivator shank closest to the corn row
