Looks like an H or a Super H with a funny muffler setup.

Can't say for sure if the Ford is a 600 or 800, but I'd guess a 600. Probably a '55 model.

Just by looking at the rear fenders I believe it would be an 800. Butch

Not sure how you would tell from the fenders as they would be the same on 600/800.
My guess is that it is an 800 as the crease in the dogleg looks to be higher than the top of the axle.
The crease on the 600 is about level with the axle. Tin on an 800 is mounted about 1 1/2 - 2" higher than a 600. I think...

Cropped it and blew up the emblem. You are correct, it is an 800.

I hadn't heard the term bummin around in a long time. Common to hear growing up in SD, not heard hear in SC.
