Allis WD Hydorlics

I would like to convert the existing Hydraulics on my Allis WD to a modern power up power down system. Can I utilize the existing internal pump? I was thinking of removing the old single acting valve mounted to the side of the trans mission and plumbing into the High pressure in let. Will this work? I haven"t taken it apart yet to even look. Any thoughts

I often thought of putting a two way valve on my old Farmall H tractor. All you have to do is make sure your old valve is always on then use it to feed a two way open center valve. Oil under pressure will always be available at the 2-way valve and it will direct the oil where you tell it to go. It can be used to control a dual acting cylinder.
The two way valve will need to be an open center valve to let the oil constantly flow thru back to the reservoir when it's not being used when the tractor is running. Very simple to hook up. Hope this helps.

I wanted to hang a 3pt, with down pressure on my CA which uses the same 4 piston pump that the WD does. Remember that you are dealing with a 3000 psi system, and cylinders should be rated the same! I used 2 short double acting cylinders, on the 3 pt, and hooked my in hose from my control valve with float, to the pressure port. My out hose from the control valve runs under the rear end to the hydraulic resivour fill plug.I need to take some time, and redo this connection( needs a Tee there, so I can add Hi Yran when needed. It works ok but is slower due to smaller flow of oil, in pressure outlet at the pump. It is still NOT live hydraulics, except when using the hand clutch.

That sounds like the way to go just using my existing valve to supply pressure to the new valves thanks for the coments
