John Deere tractor 4240S 4X4

Does anybody here know anything about a John Deere 4240S? If they burn alot of fuel or not? are they a good tractor worth having or not?

The HFWA on those tractors aren't very efficient. It should have the 300 series engine

Thanks for correcting me. I knew it had a 359T engine but was incorrect on the type 4WD

I was told the MFWD was not the same as what was used on the 50 series plus the transfer case. Don't know if this is correct but you may want to investigate with the dealer in terms of parts availability.
