It's been an easy winter so far- only about ten inches of snow scatterered since November. But weather idiot says we're gonna get a wet snow starting tomorrow night through Wednesday- right now about 10". Last time they did that, we got 24". Just gotta love this March weather......

Gonna hook up the skidloader to the snow blade, around noon. That means one of 2 things:
1. we get no snow

2. we get so much snow, I have to battle my way over to the snow blower, with the frozen roller chain.

Because we have had no snow for so long, I am leaning toward the latter.

Good news is that I have 3/4 of a bottle of southern comfort, at my feet, in the skidloader!

Well, if it"s the same storm that just roared through North Dakota there can"t be a hell of s lot of snow left in it!

I have been watching some maps and two fronts are moving east.
One in central US and the other one coming up from the south.
Looks to me like they are planning a big party when them meet up over Baltimore.

My Kohler generator just cycled on for its 20 minute weekly run. Let're snow. I did start the snow blower and garden tractor. I plan on starting my tomato and pepper plants tomorrow. I plowed the garden last Feb. Hal

I'm in NW Harford, fairly well into the Piedmont. When you start getting into the higher country from the coastal plain where you are, we usually get snow and ice when you get rain. If you get snow, we usually get a great deal more or it misses us all together when the storm passes off the coast a bit farther. This one right now looks like we're in the bullseye...

Your right. But you gotta watch they call for 6 inches and we get 24 ! happened in 2010. i didnt mind. had enough gas for the generator and enough wood for the wood stove to keep the kiddies happy. the better half on the other hand is from texas and hates snow. me and the kids love it. take em out on the wd45 for some peaceful rides.

Part of the fun of it is that the B-more weather usually doesn't have a clue of the differences in elevation and climate in this state. Snow closer to the coast will be wet and not drift, where ours will drift like crazy and be much lighter (hence, deeper) than the stuff just 30 miles to our south. We usually listen to the Lancaster- York forecast....
