For members of clubs that have tractor rides and plow days, how are your events organized? I would lime to have these activities in our club, and rather than reinvent the wheel, thought I'd ask what others are doing, and if/how the utilize them as fundraisers. Thanks, Mike. |

| I used to run a 'free for all' fun plough day for Ferguson tractors. No-one was charged any sort of admission, not even the spectators I got a caterer to bring along a hot food van and used the money she gave me to rent a toilet cubicle (had to by law!) We had a great time. Next year we provided the food ourselves...we got some cheap bread rolls from the local bakery and my brother got me some pork sausages from his work. We got some ladies to cook the sausages and we got a few pretty girls to stand at the gate with tin cans and lids with slots for passing the money in. (no change given!) Everyone that put money in the box got a meal ticket for 2 'hot dogs' and a cup of tea or coffee...We raised £725 that day and no-one was charged to get in....All contributions were voluntary. Sam |

| as deltared stated, club i'm in, we talk about what type of events we would like to do, first meetings in the new year, so we can prep, make sure you have all the legal stuff in order, liences, permits, insurances,,,,then work on your set-up for the shows, food, vendors, tents, etc,,,fun raisers are always a great ideas, as long as people know where the money is going...good luck |

| Our small club(30-50 members),we just decide to do it.During our periodic meeteings,we just talk, plan, set a date. For the 'bigger' events,we will advertize in the local papers and set out posters in local busnesses. For things that come up/ happen between meetings,we just use a 'phone circle'.Our club insurance EDGETA(Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Assn.)Provides coverage for the events. |
