I have an announcement something like that about my uncle, Sgt. Frank Cassel, KIA at St. Lo, France, July, 1944.

My sister found an old account about my great grandfather on my mother's side. He was a Hungarian immigrant in the late 1800's that was working in the coal mines in Southern Ohio. He was hit in the gut with a piece of mining machinery but went home after his shift. That night he died, apparently from internal injuries. No worker's comp in those days so the family had to make out the best they could. My grandmother was quite young when it happened. No one in the family, still around that is, knew this.
