I was driving my 2010 silverado when it lost some power, the engine and traction control lights came on.The dash said engine power reduced.I could only go about 40.At idle the whole truck shakes. It also said service stabilink whatever that is.It just turned 60000
miles,so i guess i'm in for a big repair bill.

After you shut it off for a while then restarted it did it clear up? Take it in for warranty work.. TPS .. Throttle positioning sensor. If you have Onstar they can tell you the fault code. My truck did the same thing. I have a 2009 GMC Sierra it was a known problem and a quick no charge fix. and only a 1/2 day in the shop.
Good Luck

My pickup has a "limp mode" - that's what that sounds like to me. The last time mine did that it needed two new air pumps to the tune of $4000. It was at 60,000 miles. I didn't have to pay for it.

Happens on our fleet of trucks quite often. Usually it it the throttle assembly. (It has two position sensors in it and they are not agreeing). Next possible cause it the accelerator pedal assembly. Takes a scanneer to properly diagnose.

Had some of your problems plus shifting problems on a 2006 Silverado. Thought it was going to be costly. Turned out to be the porcelin top on the spark plug broke. Any little problem makes the computer goofy.

I had about the same thing happen to my 2010 also. Mine was still under warranty but I beleive Chevy had also issued a recall for that problem.I suggest talking to a dealer first before tearing into it to far.
