Well, here goes the crazy weather again. Starting after midnight, we are supposed to get rain to snow, less than 1/4 mi and winds from the north 30-35, gusts over 60. Total snow about 8+ here in Greer Co., OK.... more, over 16" in NW OK.. Temps a little over freezing until tomorrow night, below 20F and storm to continue thru early Tuesday AM....
So much for my work travel the next two days ...! Hope they shut down all the courthouses. That way, all cases will be made up at a later point...!!!( I am a mediator).
But at least there will be some moisture for the dry ground, that's the upside!! Everyone stay warm and safe!
Ralph in Greer County, OK.

I'm as ready as I can get, diesel in the tractors and skid loader, wood in the basement, food in the fridage and cows are fed. I do need to get a battery for the loader in the morning but other than that let it snow!

You guys have been so darned dry there. Seems like if you are dry, we eventually are dry here in Iowa. Maybe the drought is breaking for you, which means maybe we are about to turn the corner in NWIA too. Jim

Eastern Iowa here, checked out generator last week. I should be ready for whatever it throws at us. We need any precipitation.

I just keep thinking how green that wheat is going to be in no time from all of this great moisture. That keeps me from remembering just how muddy it is in spots and what it is going to look like when this melts. I will still need that chains on!

Talking 5 to 10 inches down here in SE Kansas. Had an inch of moisture the other day. water starting to flow off fields. Even so it is still dry

Bruce, it's in SW OK, Mangum is the county seat (northwest of Altus).
Do you know the Cromwell Ranch near Medford? One of my colleagues, Annie Evans, was a Cromwell. I think its still run by her, her brother, uncle(s).

I grew up in Jefferson, 7 miles south and honestly don't remember the name. My folks and brothers are still there. I'll ask them

Guess out here in Missouri we are about 24 hours behind yo as for weather. They are calling for rain turning to snow tomorrow afternoon/evening

Old, Are you in the predicted 6-12 inches area?Where I'm at southeast of St Louis, they're saying less than an inch

Last weather I heard we are in the 1-3 inch area. I am just 25 miles north of I44 as in above Lebanon MO On the map I live just off of HWY south of Camdenton

Talking sbout Tuesday afternoon here. Several inches, guessing it will run out of steam before it gets here.
