My brother a friend of his and my sister came out this evening, I hooked an old ford hood to the pickup, they had a blast. Even got my wife to take a spin, then my brother convinced me to let him pull me.... That's little sis with the pup.

My niece and one of her friends came over for a vist today. I spent a while towing them behind the Farmall H on a plastic toboggin.

what would you bet? some one on the forum probably could use thAT HOOD ,, AND are kringin rite now ..LOL,,used to sled ride on a 49 plymoth hood ,, many good times ,./put a bale of hay on there and pulled my neices and nephews around with the SC Case ... btw , that 49 hood was trashed

When we were kids in the 60's got hauled around our small
town on car hoods had a ball. Today mom and dad would be
locked up fr doing such a thing

I also used a Ford pu hood to pull my daughters
around with the snowmobile when they were young. I
had to put runners under it though to keep it from
whipping side to side.

Ya that to, take a Chevy over a ford, a sled is the olny thing a fords good for, at least he found a use for one, usually there broke down anyway

We used to pull a cast iron bathtub behind a tractor in the summer with a log chain. I ussually got to drive, and being the youngest, you bet I tried my best to get back for some beatings I took from my brothers.

Had lots of fun, and we still have the tub somewhere around the farm...

We always used an large truck inter tube to pull behind the tractor or pickup. Then later pulled them behind a snow mobile and four wheeler.

I used to side down some BIG hills on a piece of corrugated tin with the front bent up and a piece of baling wire hooked to two holes in the front corners. Ya' couldn't steer it one iota.....it still scares me when I think about riding on somthing that could slice you in two if you got jammed up. That sucker would really go. Yow!

When we were in high school we dragged the hood from a '50 ford to a hill in a cow pasture. It was so slow we didn't even bother to pull it back up the hill for another run. Kind of like the raft we hauled to the creek when we were in elementary school.... but that's another story. That Ford hood behind a tractor would have been a blast!

We used to use a sheet left over from some used grain bin building/moving we did. Tied it behind a tractor and flew around the fields on a clear winter evening. Kids loved it.

Back in the 1950's , friends & I used to slide down
sand dunes on old car hoods. Not too much snow in
beach-side communities. Still lots of fun!
