how many use the same deodorant/after shave as the father's? Just like dad, I use Old Spice deodorant and auqa-velva after shave when I'm gettin purdied up for church.

Don't use anything. Dad used Old Spice, and I did for awhile, but wife is allergic to fragrances, and I'm not so wild about them myself. So neither of us uses anything. Just bathe often.

Wow.....now you're bringing back some memories!
I was in my thirties in the seventies.
Long hair, a mustache, a pants suit, a turtle neck and let's not forget the "Jade East" cologne.
No wonder my Grand kids laugh at my pictures from that era!

My teenage son has been using AXE deodorant and shampoo so I switched to them also. Usually it was Old Spice or what the wife may give me for a gift that she thought smelled perdie... I do like the aroma of AXE products.

BTDT. And a two inch wide white belt. yellow or pink sun glasses, vests. and bell bottoms. Carlo Rossi wine ,gallon bottles, And any kind of necklace. Incense burnin in a dish.

I wear old spice and aqua velva also, grandpa always did. There for awhile I used Right Guard original scent like Dad always did. But I like the new old spice red zone a lot better. All it takes is one sniff of aqua velva and I'm back in Grandpa's lap.

i wore old spice deo. like my dad for several years and oddly enough it got to where it burned us both under the arms! he switched to brute and so did i but after a while brute burned me but not dad. even now at times i wear old spice after shave, i am 52 yrs old now dad gone almost 20yrs. but a older man wearing old spice or aqua velva will still catch my attention

Wild Root hair creme!!!
I actually have a bottle of it that I found at the store recently. Now if I still had any hair...

This thread brings to mind the Clint Eastwood scene where after a straight razor shave, the barber wanted to sell him some lilac water.
Said the ladies love it! Clint just looked at him like he was queer.

suddenly i had a vision of dad in the summer with a strap t-shirt and a nylon shirt over it with the tail out.

Old Spice, "High Intensity" changed the formula,
and burned me under the arms too. I saw a cuepon
in the sunday paper that said: "They've changed
the formula back", but I went back to classic!

My Dad used Bay Rum for aftershave. It smelled OK, but I have not seen it in years.

When I was a kid, I thought I needed to use some kind of aftershave, so I tried a bunch of them: English Leather, Brut, Hai Karate, and some others. But I found that the odors bothered me. So now I don"t use any, and it doesn"t seem to harm me in any way. Stinking like perfume must be unnecessary.

I have used Classic Old Spice deodorant for about 40 years. It is mild and non-irritating, unlike some other deodorants. I tried some others and find that they make my underarms itchy and most of them smell strongly, which I don"t like. I especially do not like the High Endurance. On the grocery shelves, the Classic Old Spice is always the first to sell out--must be lots of folks that agree with me on this point!
