novice here were is the dip stick for hydraulic fluid and were do you add it.bought and old tractor has a couple 1 12 90s by gear shift with a nut on top kinda thinking its suppose to go there but not sure on how much.stuck a zip tie down in it to get a level check and just got a drop at the bottom of tie 12 in tie.

No dipstick. Just a pipe plug in the top of the torque tube just behind the bell (of the bell housing). Drain plug is on the right lower of the same housing.

Is this housing under the seat on the left side faceing tractor.,I need to drain the fluid.and you say the feed tube is by the shifter in front of seat.My bucket lifts slow and my hitch is very slow.........

Transmission/rear axle housing takes gearlube; does not share with hydraulic system.

If I remember correctly their is a pipe plug on left side near the back of the housing which would be the level check, you have all ready found the fill hole.

Hytran (IH) or equivalent. JD transmission fluid is fine. Read the label on all others to be sure it meets the Hytran spec. Jim
