Skid steer mount tree saw question

So, I'm looking at a tree saw with a 1/2 inch thick blade made of mild steel that turns 600 rpm . Is that a good design? Cost is $4,500,new.
The ones with high tensil steel blade 5/8 inch thick & turns 2000 rpm runs $8 K & up. Only do my own work ,no custom work.

Get it and let me know how it works. I need one too, but really can't justify spending 8 grand on one. I do know where there is a home built one, that turns somewhere around 2000 RPMs. They want $4500 for it. Has carbide tips on the blade. If I could find somewhere to get a blade, I would build my own saw.
If you are just going to use it to trim trees, I think you would be alright, but I want to be able to trim grass and weeds out from under my electric fence also, and that involves high speed.

You can get tree saws for skid steers that don't turn at all. They have a big V shape blade you go back and forth against the tree. Not sure if you want to cut tree's down or cut tree's into firewood.

I all depends on what you want to do, the slower saw with the thinner metal will cut 6-8" stuff no sweat. Not as fast but it will get the job done. That is what I have, all depends on your needs. I bought mine to clear a couple pastures and will sell it when I'm done. Loren makes a good point, my saw is no faster than cutting with my chainsaw, just saves a lot of labor.
