I bought a nice used car a while ago from original owner with the DOHC v-6. It apparently is leaking from the front crank seal. This seems to be kind of common with this engine family by what I find on the net. Anyone tell me how bad it is to change the seal. I find quite a bit about the pulkley nut LH threads and rounding it off cuz its frozen on, but not much on the procedure itself. I am a heavy equipment mechanic so I should be able to handle it but knowing the shortcuts helps.

I hope this helps the out side bolt is left hand threaded

I read a 5ft cheater bar would come in handy are heat the nut to destroy the loc-tite....

Special tool needed to remove the seal Google ( 303-409 seal tool )

I would for sure do what ever is needed to lock the flywheel down I would not want to damage a valve....

And people ask me why I like old tractors. I wonder how many of those left hand bolts were broken before someone read the procedure?
