Dog Power

John B, I googled up a dog power.
I couldn't find one powering a cream separator but found this one powering a butter churn.
I can remember my Dad selling a butter churn very much like this one to an antique dealer back around 1950 when I was only 9 or 10. I doubt he got much for it then. It was in wonderful condition; imagine how much an antiquer would pay today!

With one of those, why would anyone need to take a dog for a walk?

I was looking thru one of my books today and saw one of these with a sheep walking the tread. I just wonder how long a dog would walk on them before stopping or getting distracted.
