Devon tractor collector

I had to fly to England last Sunday to attend the funeral of my Ferguson Friend, Harold Beer. Harold farmed 600 acres with Ferguson tractors and implements, nothing else! He also made some professional DVDs of his tractors and implements working (Ferguson on The Farm Part 1,2 and 3) His funeral was very Ferguson themed even the order of services had the Ferguson logo on the cover and some of the hymns were changed to include the word tractor! His remains were brought to the church in a Ferguson trailer behind his first grey Fergie. I did not think it respectful to take any photos...but on Sunday morning, we visited a private tractor collection en route. This collector contacted me to invite us to take our bus tour of tractor collections to view his tractors on 23rd March, so I though I would have a look first to see if it was worthwhile....WOW! is it worthwhile? He had a barn full of Allis, another of Nashers, one of Fords and of course the Ferguson Barn plus everything else. In total 150 tractors!

I must say, that is an impressive array of machinery! And I know that only scratched the surface. Thanks for sharing the photos with us.

Oh come on Sam! You you trying to embarrass me into booking a ticket... I doubt if I'll even be shoveled out by March...
And what's this about pictures? Fair go mate! You're Irish! What's a camera for if not to take pictures at wakes???
Did this fellow and family post you tubes working fergies? Awefully flat land, wouldn't think it was filmd in Devonshire... then again, I was always distracted and... never completely sober in Ireland OR the UK...

Great pictures, thanks for sharing!

The one with all of the small tractors with cabs brings back memories of my 1st tour of duty in Germany, 76-78. I was amazed at the small tractors with cabs! Cabs that were made to fit them right! The Europeans had it figured out! No need to be cold and wet!

Also noted was a lot of MFWA of all sizes. Didn't start seeing a lot of them in the US until much later.
