I would say you are correct. Many people today don't realize the important role that women played during WWII. With most of the able bodied men off to war, the women were left to handle things here. They pretty well saved our butts farming, building aircraft and ships, etc. If you are not familiar with it, there is a website dedicated to the 1940s. just Google 1940s org. and prepare to stay awhile, because it is most fascinating.
 
A question for you pros, did they ever make a tire pattern like that? I have never seen that one before if they have.

A three rib front? yep . just kidding, I don't know if they ever made rears like that. They are quite the impressive tread design I will say.
 
Now it's the woman in the Army truck headed off to war and the man staying home to drive the tractor. Stupidist thing I ever heard of.
