HAS SPRING SPRUNG?

I am not going to make any predictions, one way or the other, but today I cut two daffodils that were blooming, carried them in the house and put them in a vahhhz. Had to wait for a honeybee to finish working them before I could cut them. Yesterday evening I heard peepers down at the pond, AND last night my back right shoulder started itching, This morning it still was, so I had my daughter check it. It was a TICK! In February, no less. I get uneasy when it warms up early because it always means we could have a late frost or freeze. Either way, it ain't gonna be long and I need to tune up my TO30.

It got down to 29 degrees at our place in the AZ desert last night, so it isn't spring here yet. Last night was the second coldest night of the winter so far. We are just NOT used to this kind of weather.

Not yet. Look at the weather report for the next few days. Could be down below 30 a few nights yet. Got some daffodils ready to open too. Guess they"ll get got in the cold.

Our daffodils have been in bloom for two weeks. The red buds are blooming as of today, my fig tree is bursting buds and has some small leaves, the red maple have been blooming for three weeks now, not to mention the buds on the red oaks are swelling already.

Here in N.Ga... W really havent had Much Cold Weather this Year at all, Now it's Misting Rain and about50 deg, and not Much Colder at Night,, I'm lovin it! Larry

My pond is still frozen over, but we did get most of 6 inches of snow melted off. We could still have frost for another 4 months. I think last year we had frost the 20th of May.

Yeah, you folks in Georgia are way ahead of us. Some years ago I had to go to Atlanta for a weeks training. We were still getting frost in NC and in Atlanta the trees were putting out leaves and flowers blooming.

Wait a couple months, and when they are moaning about the heat laugh at them.

Alread heard peepers the other morning, seen robins in the yard, a honey bee sitting on a butter cup, and worst of all had a mosquito land on my hand the other evening. Sad thing is it's hard to say spring has sprung around here when we really haven't had a winter yet.

Here in north Louisiana, the daffodils and tulip trees are blooming. The oak trees are starting to turn green and the spring weeds(dollar weed) and grasses are growing. It has been raining here the last 3 days and the weatherman is predicting cold temps for the weekend and the possibility of frozen precipitation. We should have plenty of mosquitoes this year.
