They brought the tractor

They delivered my FWA loader tractor yesterday morning. The weather was miserable, but I still used it all afternoon loading sloppy manure out of the feedlots. Hauled out six loads. I loaded silage with it this morning. Makes such quick work of things it feels like it's a waste to even have it sitting here. Kinda glad it's not new though, those pretty white wheels aren't so pretty anymore.
Nothing broke and there wasn't anything running out of the middle of it when I got done,so I can relax about that. Looking it over,I don't think it's ever been in manure before. The fenders aren't rusted and those little European slanted plastic tail lights haven't been grubbed off by cattle rubbing on them.

Sounds like that thing is going to work out good for you. I bet you'll find many jobs for it.

Ya,it's got a Horst quick attach on the bucket. I want to get one for the loader on the 1600 Oliver too, then put the plates on all the buckets and attachments. I can switch from the bucket to the bale grapple or spear on this one in a hurry and feed bales and silage both with it every morning and only have to start the one tractor. It'll be nice to have the FWA to feed bales to the cows out in the field when it's muddy. Not so likely to rut things up if I don't have to spin the tires in the first place.

Ya,there's a lot of levers in the way. The right side especially, just isn't even a good idea to even try.

Looks good Randy, Wrong color, but Oh well.

Got a couple projects around here need something like that. Is she up for borrow?

Happy new tractor - hope she serves you well.

Want to drive it all that way in the cold? lol
I'm gonna take care of that color problem in the spring. She'll look a whole lot better Meadow Green and Clover White with Oliver decals.

If it holds together and works as good as it looks, you should get long life out of it. Glad it's workin good for you Randy!

Hey,you'd know. I pulled the dipstick down by the hand brake and it was low. Transmission/rearend/hydraulic I assume. They didn't have a manual, but I ordered one from Import Tractor.
Where do you fill that? Is it that aluminum looking plug on the right hand side under the seat?

Its the plug up near the range shifter, looks like a bolt head.I always overfill by about a 1/2 gallon that way the hydraulic pump on the side of the engine can always get fluid.Does it have the extra creeper gears or the standard 4X2 trans?

Glad you"re enjoying your new toy looks like a nice tractor. I kinda know where ya coming from on the drive it all day thing.
We have added a 6400 valtra FWA to the fleet as main tractor. It"s replacing the 920 Belarus moving it down to emergency only spare. When I talked about buying the Valtra, Dad said we didn"t need all the fancy transmission with push button clutch/ splitters, loader joystick control, electronic hyds and other push button goodies.

Note I said at the start, I kinda know where you"re coming from !. Now we have it I can"t get him off it to drive it myself. I guess all that stuff we didn"t need must be pretty nice. I got about 3 hours on it since the 15th December lol.
Regards Robert

Didn't know the wife took some more pictures when Bob brought it. That's him backing it off the trailer and me getting on it.
