We have an opportunity to trade a IH 424 gas utility w/ excellent paint & tin, 3 pt. no power steering, no live pto for a OC3 crawler w/ Ware loader running w/ good paint and fair undercarriage for a straight up trade. Have a bigger utility, don"t use the 424 much very good runner, a bit nervous that the undercarraige would be a money pit. Looking for another project and would be up for it, thinking the OC3 would bring higher $ than the 424 when completed.
You guys have any thoughts?

Even being an Oliver guy,I'll tell you those OC3s aren't valuable, relatively speaking. Not worth what that 424 is in my never to be humble opinion. In real nice shape, and I mean real nice shape,$2000-2500.

If you want it for a work crawler forget it. The OC-3 like the HG was a crawler tractor that many had loaders add to so they do not do well as a loader machine As for what one is worth around $2000-3000. About all an OC-3 is good for is a big toy

They had their purpose, but a bulldozer they weren't. They were made to be a tracted ag tractor for specific applications. Oliver never made a loader or blade for them and none were factory installed. Several companies made attachments,Ware and AC Anderson were the major ones, but the little buggers didn't hold up well to that kind of use. In fact, but the time they got to the OC6,Oliver would void the warranty if you put a loader on them.

Yep I understand that well since I have had more then one and still have a HG42 that has an Oliver 60 engine in it and a Ware loader

I used to own one with a Midwest sideboom & street pads for laying pipe in tight places.
