Make any lenght of fan belt

Hi, any one know where you can buy the fan belt material that lets you make a fan belt of any length, by means of a continuous system of straps and metal pins?
We use to have some, but have used and parted with the machines without bothering to ever put a normal belt on, and would like to buy more.
Thanks.

I was hunting a link belt a few years ago, having no luck at the recommended places. Headed by Harbor Freight for something else, when, not looking for such, there was the right size with adequate length on the wall!
Still working, though I usually have to take out a link and retighten each year.

Acklands Grainger (here in Canada) has v belting than can be made into any lenth you like, come in a roll..

There's product for that purpose that woodworking shops carry. It's used for table saws as it doesn't take a set when it's not in use and consequently it runs smoother. Not cheap, though.

Guarenteed to streach..and slip when you need it
most..oh, well...you can always take a link out!

Thanks. That should work. When we dint need any, we seen it at the local HF, but didn't pay any attention, and prior to posting, I tried to find it online and came up with nothing.

I was gonna say I got some hanging on my shop wall (and a piece on a tractor I've been repairing)..

Been trying to decide if I'm "in love" with it, or if I should pass it on.. This is the old stuff with the metal pins, and the links are pretty stiff..

Would you be interested it, or should I just leave it hanging on the wall?

Brad
