Some time ago someone on here was putting a john Deere engine into a Chevy. What ever happened to it. Did they finish and is their a picture of the final out come. This was probably 3 yrs ago.

He was posting pictures on the "Tractor Pictures"
collumn, ane someone kept giving Him cra* about it.

There is a bunch of videos on you tube of a john deere engine in a dodge I think. Or go to the magazine rack at the store and Diesel Power has an article on FFA kids put a 4 cylinder Jd in a 1/2 ton dodge.
 
Deere put tractor engines in trucks they used around the Waterloo factory years ago. Sounded kind of strange to hear a Chevy C50 or 60 with a diesel engine. Jim

While it sounds like a cool idea most farm equipment diesels are fairly low RPM engines. The counterparts in factory equipped "big 3" trucks turn higher RPM's for acceleration. So a guy would have to put in a better (more gears) tranny in or better gearing I think.
