Gas took another jump today as it did last week . And the week before . went down a couple cents yesterday and then took a 20 cent jump today. , so now we are setting at 3.70.9 a gallon for the cheap stuff and diesel is 4.19.9 And the Mail delivery has slowed way down . as of 6:30 last evening we had not received the mail as it is usually here by 2 at 6:45 lastnight they are just getting to us . My one farm paper that i recieve from In. usually gets here by thursday did not make it till saturday. Oh yea things are really getting better . And all this new found oil and gas that is setting under us is NOT going to do us one bit of good as it is all headed for China . And oh all them jobs that this was going to bring to our area , yea wright we have seen nothing but out of state people and and awful lot of non english speaking people coming in .

Sounds like you are talking about California. I know you are not on the left coast. Regular is around 4.05, and rising here.Stan

Haven't been all that busy lately, but I guess I've been too busy to notice any of that.
Oh well, there'll be ten more crisis next week.

Gas is still $2.99 here, up from $2.79 a week ago. Filled the truck and slip tank with diesel a couple of days ago for $3.59, had gotten down to $3.51. North Idaho....

paid 3.75/gal last night for regular. Guess the oil companies figured it was time goose up the price. It was getting too low.

Yesterday gas was $3.59 in central Minnesota. It was $3.29 last week and $2.97 after Christmas.

What's going on to justify a 20% price increse in six weeks?

It was $3.73 here in eastern NY last Friday by Sunday it was $3.89, diesel is $4.24 for on road and $3.75 for off road.

3.50 locally. Saw it was 3.90 in Chicago.
The domestic oil does help us. It's a world wide market. Can you imagine what fuel would cost if domestic production was gone?
Jobs? Sounds like there must have been plenty of them if people are migrating there to work. Are you saying the locals didn't get any of the oil industry jobs?

As long as the Federal Reserve keeps 'creating' money to finance the National Debt/Excessive Gov't spending then the Dollar is worth less and it'll take more of them to buy things. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Yep.

Not many, lots of trucks from Teaxa and Maryland round here In Nw Pa. bout 50% of them in the ditch. Must not be use to 6 or 8" of snow. lol. it is helping some, welding shopes, eateries, gas staions, that kind of stuff.

Come on boys fork it over what a little gas money to a farmer like Paul say it take a farmer to go broke and no food on the table before the country to wake up.

As long as our treasury department keeps printing more new money to keep the intrest rate down which inturn lowers the value of the dollar, gas will continue to increase in price.

It looks like oil prices are going up but the fact is the oil and gold has gone up for the same reason. The only way for both to go down is to raise interest rates to pay down treasury bonds.
Carter couldn't get the treasury to print enough money so interest rates went sky high.
Someone chose to let gas to gp rather than interest rates. Don't know which hurts more for the middle class.

You have enought money that you just hand them a $100.oo bill and say fill her up. You woun't notice it till it takes more than a 100 to fill her up. lol.

Well.......the wife was going to town today,so I gave here a hundred dollar bill and told her to fill the truck and get some bread and milk. Don't know if she had any change,I didn't ask. I wasn't really expecting any.

$3.29.9 in Greenville, TX. today, East of Dallas, Exxon station, 10 cents less if you get a car wash, and a station on the interstate to boot. Usually you have to get off the state to get a good buy.

Yes sir, this is the year I will be selling my old van to pay for the fuel for the newer one. Just put $800 in repairs into the newer one too. People always say there are two sure things in life: death and taxes, but I would add vehicle repairs to that too.
