I going to replace pads and rotors for a friend. The new pads have little tin widgets that the book doesn't mention. I've done lots of pads and rotors over the years but haven't seen these. I'm hoping it will be obvious when it take it apart. Anyone done these?

| They can be two different things. The one just goes behind the pads. The other is actually new holder clips that help hold the pads on. I am not sure which you have with out seeing them.

| May be the piece that rubs on the rotor indicating brake pads need replaced.
