o/t - electric rates

Our rates here have jumped the last few years, just like all other energy prices. Got a notice today along with this month's bill that rates are going up another 6.1%. That's another $40+ per month for me. Are rates in your area jumping too? (n/w WI here - Xcel Energy)

The rate varies in Ontario but average here the cost averages 17.5 cents per KW with tax, delivery and weasel costs.
LP is 37 cents per liter or $1.40 per US gallon.

Do like I do, I unplug and unscrew everything that isn't absolutely necessary, including outdoor lights.

The house is only a small part of my electric bill - the majority of it is from milking and feeding cows. Current bill is $736. Five years ago, it was around $500/month, so with this latest increase, it's going to be 1 1/2 times as much as it used to be. Actual usage has been pretty steady.

My electric from ohio edison is around 13 cents a KW my bills vary alot and then they do those darn estimated ones too.

I just called and priced LP in my tank one place $ 1.69 and another 1.89

We own our little power company and the rates are just great my bill runs around $100 per month.

Our LP is 2.45 at best and is usually higher our power is 11.4 cents per kw, the power still runs over 300.00 per month total (barn and house)

How many cow barn.tower silos? I have 62 tie stall with stable cleaner, pit silos, one heated water bowl, and only pluged in block heater 3 times, and no yard light. Like you house takes little power. Last month $1400.00. Really sucks to have Ontario Hydro to suplie are electricity.In my mind fordfarmer, you get a good deal. Bruce

3.5 cents per kilowatt hour in a local place near me....take a look at the link to see other rates..commercial and such..

$35 per month base charge.

.1095 khw for first 1400 kwh
.995 kwh for the rest

.061 kwh for electric heat.

I priced LP last week, 1.48 home delivery. My REC is .13 1/2 cents Kwh.

.1095 per kw/h with fuel charge, environmental charge, and 3% school tax included. Just got done paying all 3 bills.

Just under $.15 per kwh. and it is up a bunch in the last couple of years. Probably continue to go up as more and more coal fired plants go off line. Thanks for all the environmental help?
