Great Idea for a topic!

As I Was posting about my daughter Justin was posting a picture of his son, It gives me an idea ,I know many people on the site here have children or grandchildren in the service, and I know some of them are helping neigbors who got hurt in an accident, some are making fine leatherwork, some girls have their own JD A,Some were helping their dad dig, that is just to mention a few,Lets see all the pictures ,or hear all about our children and grandchildren! Its time to brag! After all they are the future of t talk! [unless they sell our tractors as soon as we kick off)

I don't have a lot of other pictures I can post on the Internet. My other children do not want their pictures on the Web. They really do not want their under age girls on the web. That is why I talk about the Grand Daughters but never have posted a picture on them. Kind of a sad thing to worry about who is going to see them but I agree that their are some sick people out here.

I do not have any current pictures of the older Grand Kids. I do want a picture of them in their Military uniforms before they leave the service.

Here are my grand kids Three girls, and the twins. Don't expect any more. The only boy wants to be a pilot. He is really into air planes. Stan

At my son's house in Fayetteville, NC getting ready to send him on his 2nd and final deployment to Afganistan. He is a heavy equipment mechanic in the Army. After he is locked into contonement, his wife, my daughter-in-law, and I will drive back to WA State to await his return. Luckily when he returns he will only have about 2 months left in the Army and will be coming home for good.

I am very proud of him and wish that he did't have to go.

I am so proud and thankful for my three sons. My Wife was told at age 20 she could never have any children. She never gave up hope and after 13 years we became pregnant with twins. In May of 2008 she had a doctor appt. on a Monday and tried to schedule her routine sonagram for the same day to save a trip since it was 75 miles one way. They would not do it because of Memorial Day weekend so she had to go the Thursday before. Sonagram showed there was trouble and told her she was not leaving without delivering the babies, they were 7 months along. They were born 1 lb.10 oz. and 2lbs.8 oz. and if she had waited until the following Monday she would have lost one, so the Lord was watching over us. 20 months later came along baby brother. I was never much of a kid person but now I couldn't imagine not having them, we do everything together. I no longer actively farm but my brother next door still milks the cows where I grew up and used to be involved and the boys are showing interest.

Here are pics of our three kiddles (and our first grandkiddle).

1. Our beautiful oldest daughter and her husband on their wedding day. She is a CNA and cares for "memory" patients - those with Alzheimers or other dementia problems...takes a special person to do that. I inserted their baby boy into the wedding pic. He's 4 months old and getting to be a lot of fun.

2. Our handsome son is enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps - he leaves for boot camp in June...just a couple weeks after high school graduation (that will make his mama cry :( - but will be a great life experience for him. He is a good student and works hard at a part-time job. He is a very talented welder, metalworker, woodworker, and a good cook to boot! He has earned many blue, champion and grand-champion ribbons through FFA entries at the fair.

3. Our beautiful youngest daughter. A very good student. She is very creative and draws well (she made this drawing), writes excellent stories, and is a good photographer and can do all sorts of creative stuff on the computer too. She LOVES animals... any shape, size or kind. She loves 4H and has earned many blue ribbons and a class Champion ribbon at the fair.

Larry,
Thanks. I know your daughter is talented too... even though she is older than our 13 year old - bet they could still have a good conversation on artsy stuff.

Yes... great site.

farmerjohn,

Congrats on your handsome trio. Pretty neat.

I know someone with triplet sons. When smaller...set them down and each would crawl off in a DIFFERENT direction. Had to be a wild time when they were toddlers.

My oldest son is a Lt. Col. in the Air Force. He' an aerospace Engineer presently stationed at Plant 42 in Palmdale CA. Don't know what he does since this is a Research and Development area and he has Top Secret security clearence so he does'nt talk about his work. All I know is that he works with civilian contractors and this is where the SR-71 Blackbird and the F-117 Stealth fighter were developed. About 40 miles from Edwards Air Force Base.

Our daughter with the scatter gun she got for Christmas and teaching her boyfriend how to drive a hand clutch tractor!
