any good places to eat in Charlotte, NC

Have a business trip to Charlotte, NC going to busy during the day. Is thier any good places that I need to eat at before I come home. Won't have time to do any nascar stuff.
 
I'm no gormet by any means. That said the best food I know of in the Charlotte area is at the Texas Road House in Concord, right close to Concord Mills Mall. My wife and daugher love the yeast rolls with cinnamon butter, along with the steak. Me, I like the rolls too but much preffer the chicken with a double order or mashed potatoes and all of it smothered in the white gravy. I can eat til I think I'm going to explode....and still want more but know better....
 
There was - but the last time I was there was in 1984 and I can't remember the name of the place.
 
Charlotte is a big city if you are on the north side Pile em up Bobs, Brooks sandwich house, on the south side South 21, Hickory House on Tryon ST is good BBQ
 
Yep, been to South 21, and the Hickory House many times in the past, but not so much recently, and both have great food. As much as I like both places I still like the chicken at Texas Roadhouse the best...

Been thinking about it since last night, and if your looking for holes in the wall there's a place on Statesville Road called Chucks. It's a little block building and they serve homecooked food that is really good. There are two other places on Grahm street, one called the Village, and other is Tatses (sp) that used to have good eats. I haven't been to either in years but I wouldn't think the quality could slip that much and the lots still be full at lunch time.
 

Sandwich Construction Company is a burger place etc. and is a hang out for the NASCAR crowd. Used to have car hoods and fenders mounted on the wall and don't forget to throw some coin in the tip bag above the bar.

It has been a long time and I don't remember the address - anyone will know of it assuming they are still doing business.

Don't forget the tip the bar keep!
